Pay per show, family law

Only pay for property settlement consults that actually turn up.

We find separated people with property to divide, confirm every detail on a recorded call, teach them what a first consultation is for, and book them into your diary already sold on your firm. If they do not attend, you do not pay.

  • No-shows replaced
  • You accept every show first

How a qualified consult reaches your diary.

A show is a screened person attending a consult you accepted. This is how one reaches your diary, start to finish, with nothing held back for the call.

$0
charged for a no-show or a cancellation
9
criteria confirmed by a person before you see a show
7
short videos the person gets before they meet you
12 hrs
to accept or reject every show before it is booked

This is what lands in your inbox before every consult.

A written summary, the call recording, and the other party's full name. You accept or reject from this. Accept, and the consult is booked into a slot you keep open.

  • Reject: you are not charged and the show goes to the next firm
  • Accept and they attend: one show off your balance
  • Accept and they do not attend: replaced, not charged

There is a more reliable way to fill a family lawyer's diary. Five parts.

Booking a consult is easy. Booking one with the right person, who knows what the meeting is for and who attends, takes a system. This is ours.

The Lighthouse
A lighthouse on the ice lighting up one sturdy boat while faint paper boats drift off unlit

Only the right people get drawn in.

The problem

A directory listing or a 'divorce lawyer near me' ad brings in whoever is upset this week: a parenting-only matter, someone who settled last year and wants to reopen it, a Legal Aid applicant, the other party's new partner. Your receptionist spends twenty minutes on each one, and your lawyer gives a free half hour to a person who was never going to be a client.

What we do instead

We run our own consumer brand, with its own ads and website, to separated people in your state who still have a house, super or savings to divide. A dozen or so screening questions sort out state, time limits, Legal Aid, lawyer already engaged, and property pool before anyone speaks to a human. The people who do not fit are pointed to public resources, kindly, and never reach you.

Parenting-only, settled and Legal Aid matters never land in your diary.

The Icebreaker
The penguin captain on the bow of an icebreaker holding a ticked clipboard, a clear channel cut through the ice behind

Every answer confirmed by a person before you are booked.

The problem

A web form tells you nothing you can rely on. Is the separation real, are they inside the time limit, is the pool worth acting on, has the other side already engaged a lawyer? You find out in the consult, on your time, and too often the answer ends the matter on the spot.

What we do instead

Before a consult is booked, one of our team walks every criterion again on a recorded call, takes the other party's full name for your conflict check, and finds times that suit. You receive the recording and a written summary. You accept or reject from your inbox before anything touches your calendar.

Two minutes with the summary, a conflict check, and a decision. Rejected means not charged.

The Map Room
The penguin captain in a snow hut pointing out a route on a map

They arrive knowing what the consultation is for.

The problem

Most first consults are a lesson in what a property settlement actually is, that de facto couples have a time limit, what consent orders are, and why there is money on account. The person nods, leaves to 'think about it', and three days later cannot remember which of the three firms they saw said what. The consult that was meant to sign a client was spent teaching.

What we do instead

Between the screening questions and the consult, the person gets a written snapshot of their own situation and seven short plain-English videos: what a property settlement is, the time limit that applies to them, what happens at a first consultation, what to bring, whether they will have to go to court, how lawyers charge, and why we ask for the other party's name. By the time they sit down with you they know why they are there.

The consult is about their matter and your fee from the first minute.

The Red Carpet
A red carpet across the ice from a moored boat to a warm cabin, the penguin captain tipping his cap at the door

Your firm is the one they are waiting to meet.

The problem

Even a good enquiry arrives cold. They found you in a list, they have emailed three firms, and your first ten minutes go to proving you are worth their time. Half never turn up at all, and nobody chased them.

What we do instead

One of our team introduces your firm by name as the right fit for their situation, and says why. The consult is booked into a slot you keep open. Confirmation and reminders go out from the consumer brand they already trust. If they do not attend, the show is replaced and never charged. One person is introduced to one firm, never auctioned to three.

Your first ten minutes go to the matter itself.

The Ship's Bell
A gold ship's bell beside a stack of coins and an open ledger with a tick

You pay when the bell rings, and not before.

The problem

Lead vendors charge for a form and directories charge for a listing, while agencies charge a retainer whether or not anyone signs. In every case the risk sits with you and the invoice arrives either way.

What we do instead

You prepay a block of shows sized to your weekly capacity. A show is deducted only when a screened person attends a consult you accepted. Disputes on any listed criterion are decided on the recording within 48 hours. Anything undelivered after 90 days is refunded at the price you paid.

The only thing you pay for is a qualified person in the chair.

The game is simple: sign far more in fees than you spend on shows.

Your numbers

Move the sliders to match your firm.

For illustration only. The starting values are an example, not averages from our firms. This is not a promise of fees or clients. Results depend on your lawyers, your market and your offer.

What that adds up to

Fees from new property matters, before our fee.

New fees per year
$460,800
Expected fee per consult
$12,000 at 40%
$4,800
New matters per month
8 consults at 40%
3.2
New fees per month
$12,000 times 3.2 matters
$38,400

One signed matter at these numbers earns you $12,000. On the call we put the cost of a show next to that.

Why paying per show wins.

Charged on attendance

You pay when a person attends a consult you accepted. A no-show or a cancellation is replaced and never charged.

Screened by a person

Every criterion is confirmed on a recorded call, not inferred from a form. The recording comes with the show.

Educated before they arrive

Seven short videos and a written snapshot of their situation. They know what the consult is for and what to bring.

Conflict-checked first

The other party's full name is in the summary before you accept, so a conflict costs you nothing.

Introduced as the expert

Our team builds your firm up before the consult, by name, with reasons.

Paced to your calendar

Shows arrive at the rate your slots allow, any unused balance is refunded after 90 days, and there is no lock-in.

Got questions?

The ones firms ask before the call.

How does pay per show work?
We screen separated people in your state on a recorded call, educate them on what a first consult is for, send you a summary, and book the consult into a slot you keep open once you accept. If the person attends, you pay for the show. If they do not attend or cancel, we replace them at no charge.
Who are these people?
Separated people, married or de facto, with a house, super or savings still to divide, inside the time limit, not on Legal Aid, with no lawyer acting for them (or changing firms, which we flag), living anywhere in Australia except WA. The core band is a property pool of roughly $500,000 to $1.5 million. A business or trust, or a larger pool, is flagged as high asset.
How much does each show cost?
A flat price per show, prepaid in a block sized to your weekly consult capacity. Book a call and we walk through the exact number with your fee and close rate in front of us.
Do I need to do any marketing myself?
No. We run the ads, the consumer site, the screening, the education videos, the screening calls, the booking and the reminders. You keep the agreed slots open and run the consult.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. You prepay a block of shows. Anything not delivered after 90 days is refunded at the price you paid. We earn the next block by delivering the first one.
Do I have to tell the client about your fee?
Yes. Under rule 12.4.4 of the Australian Solicitors' Conduct Rules a solicitor who acts for a client introduced by a third party that receives a financial benefit must disclose it. We tell the person before they meet you, so it is never a surprise.
What if they do not become a client?
Some will not, and that is your consult to win. A show is charged on attendance, and whether the person engages you depends on your lawyer and your offer. It is not a ground for dispute.
